Within the framework of the Prevention of Pollution at Sea by Oil and in compliance with IMO (International Maritime Organization) and MED 96/98 EC (wheelmark) requirements, several thousands vessels worldwide are fitted with Seres oil monitoring and control systems such as the ODME S663, ODME S663 MKII and MKIII.
The Seres ODME S663 MKIII oil discharge monitor dedicated to the to control oily products in ballast water coming from the cargo tanks prior to discharge to the sea is installed on a major part of the worldwide fleet of tankers.
Many of these tankers are still in operation and a satisfactory operation of the ODME is a must for shipowners and especially as concerns maritime administrations.
